With Academy Award winners and major action flicks now available online, there is a long list of films to check out and grab for your home library. From a galaxy far, far away to the chaos of Wall Street, these movies are sure to be a big hit on your next date night or long weekend. Here's just five of the best films to check out.

1. "Star Wars: The Force Awakens"
According to Apple, the latest chapter in the "Star Wars" saga currently ranks as the most popular movie for download. After incredible success at the box office this winter, the newest film can be enjoyed again and again from your laptop or smart TV.

Box Office Mojo found that the movie grossed nearly a billion dollars, and DVD and streaming sales will only boost that figure. With a number of "Star Wars" flicks set to premiere in the coming years, anyone who missed out on "The Force Awakens" may want to consider catching up.

2. "The Big Short"
While the framework was being laid for the 2008 financial collapse, a few industry insiders saw the writing on the wall, and "The Big Short" tells the story of their journey and ethical challenges. At the same time, the film makes dense financial news accessible with celebrity cameos and well-scripted explanations.

Between Brad Pitt, Ryan Gosling and Christian Bale, this star-studded cast does an excellent job of bringing Michael Lewis' best-selling novel to life.

3. "The Hateful Eight"
Movie fans expect violence and bone-chilling drama from a flick directed by Quentin Tarantino, and "The Hateful Eight" does not disappoint. With Samuel L. Jackson at the lead, the majority of the film is set in a remote cabin in Wyoming. This creates epic tension as the characters' contentious personalities clash. Unlike "The Force Awakens," this a movie best enjoyed when the kids are asleep due to some serious action and colorful language.

4. "Daddy's Home"
When Mark Wahlberg or Will Ferrell get in on a movie, the result is usually epic. But when both actors star in the same movie the result is incredible. One of the funniest films to hit the big screen in a while, fans can now download the flick to watch with friends or family.

5. "The Revenant"
Leonardo DiCaprio finally won an Oscar for his bone-chilling performance in "The Revenant." Set in the untamed wilderness of the American West, DiCaprio heads out on a harrowing and dramatic journey of redemption and self-discovery.

With Tom Hardy as his villainous foe, this film will demand your attention wire to wire, and without a doubt will rock you to your core.
