Earn money online to prepare for Black Friday
The holidays are right around the corner, and according to the American Research Group, shoppers across the country spent over $800 on average during the 2014 shopping season. Tack on the costs associated with travel, decorations and food, and the end of the year is loaded with expensive celebrations. Taking paid online surveys is a fast and easy way to earn money from home and help pay for holiday gifts, especially when combined with the savings offered on Black Friday.
Shop till you drop
International Council of Shopping Centers reported that Black Friday, the shopping bonanza that falls on the day after Thanksgiving, has been the busiest shopping day in the U.S. for more than a decade. Stores offer big sales and one-time deals for shoppers, often opening their doors at dawn or even midnight. For holiday shoppers with long lists and tight budgets, Black Friday is an important part of the season.
The entire Thanksgiving weekend is considered a major shopping period, even though most folks would prefer to stay on the couch and digest their turkey. According to the National Retail Federation, 133.7 million individual shoppers made their way to malls and shopping centers between Thanksgiving and the following Sunday in 2014, and apparently a big turkey dinner isn't enough to slow down shoppers nowadays. The NRF also reported that shoppers spent an average of $380.95 during the 2014 Thanksgiving weekend, meaning Americans are getting a big portion of their shopping done on or around Black Friday. Taking paid online surveys in the weeks leading up to Thanksgiving can yield extra cash for all of your holiday needs.
All sorts of gifts
Making money from home can help pay for any number of different things, but the NRF found that Black Friday shoppers are zeroing in on certain items in particular. According to the report, the most sought-after item in 2014 was clothing, with 54.5 percent of shoppers buying some sort of apparel item.
Books, movies and video games were also popular during the 2014 Black Friday shopping period, with 34.9 percent of shoppers reportedly making a purchase in the entertainment category. About one-third of shoppers bought electronics as well. Toys, home furnishings and jewelry were also popular Black Friday purchases.
Some 15 percent of shoppers also bought gift cards during Black Friday in 2014. Opinion Outpost offers users an opportunity to redeem gift cards for sites like Amazon* just by taking online surveys. Instead of fighting crowds and standing in long lines to purchase those same gift cards, online survey participants can cross a few names off of their holiday list from home.
Black Friday promises to be as hectic as ever this year, and for anyone with a lot of shopping to do, taking paid online surveys in the weeks leading up to Thanksgiving is an easy way to earn money from home and ease the burden of an expensive holiday season.
